I am happy to participate again in this lovely idea of a neighborhood Art Walk - friends, neighbors and strangers coming together to share their joy in the creative process. I have worked with batik for many years, a rather messy and labor-intensive process that utilizes hot wax and dyes on fabric, done in my upstairs bedroom-turned-studio. In contrast, and for want of something less messy and clean, I also enjoy creating pen/ink and watercolors, working on-site in places close to home or on our travels, working from my own photographs. That in itself, the photos that turn into photo cards, is something I very much enjoy. I am very much drawn to nature and common spaces that surround us, lately the beauty of trees in their various forms and phases. I am admittedly and apologetically undisciplined when it comes to social media, websites, and the "business" of selling art. I am content to show and sell my work at these annual Art Walks where a sense of community exists, and I have the opportunity to speak directly with those who visit. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, and although I do not have a website, I can be reached through my email, mffior@charter.net.
Jenny Blasen Pottery / Gotts Goats and Gardens
Handmade functional pottery mugs, yarn bowls, Wisco dishes and more. / Natural goats milk soap with a few varieties named after our goats.
Dale Kaminski / Erica DeGlopper
I practice Zazen sitting practice which has been very enlightening. :) Zen practice has opened doors of perception that I see reflected in my photographic work. Sometimes this is present very directly with the use of Koan and capping phrases added directly to the image but also in a more nuanced manner that is noticeable and pleasing when a simple, clear formal composition is present. I try and live in the present moment and take photos from that perspective. / Erica focuses on drawings, linoleum prints & paintings.
Leah Evans Textiles
I use mostly second hand textiles to make wall pieces about land use as well as tucker hats with quilted patches.

Bloodletter Stained Glass
Katy's inspiration for stained glass comes from a variety of places, from vintage ashtrays to dark lore to religious iconography. She's influenced by other arts and crafts she's done over the years, which range from quilting with a cat in her lap like an old lady, to painting bike frames in the automotive paint booth at work. In between art projects, you can find her slowly working through DIY projects on her old house. She enjoys putting a spotlight on things that have been overlooked, whether it's a modern twist on an old craft or a neglected house becoming a home again.

Lori Fleury - Rugs, Rugs, Rugs!
My Norwegian side of my family have been: sheep herders, spinners and weavers. My knowledge has been passed down for generations through genetics. I weave traditional Krokbrog rugs. These rugs are woven on a cotton warp and wool weft. Sometimes I use natural dyes and hand spun wool. The second type of rugs I weave are: strips of rags sewed together. For example I made a rag rug for each one of my sister's using my mom's old pants. The third type of rugs I weave: strips of old fur coats. Aunt Helens old fur coat was my inspiration. I didn't want to see it unused in the attic. I use a wool warp, so the rugs are fire resistant. Cutting the strips can only be done outside on a calm day. My goal is for more people to get involved upcycling old clothes. I encourage guests to weave when they visit my studio.

Rachel Imsland
I create in my home studio on the near-east side Madison. My ceramic practice includes both wheel-thrown pieces, and hand-built vessels made with clay slabs or coils – and sometimes a combination of the two. Created with simple forms and clean lines, my work is minimalist and elegant. Some vessels have a wabi-sabi aesthetic, with a beauty that exists because of, and not in spite of, imperfection. I allow the clay and glaze to speak for themselves, creating rough natural edges and color patterns reminiscent of the earth herself. Each of my handcrafted pieces holds their own uniqueness and artistry.
James Good / Amanda Langer Artworks

Katy Heyning Watercolor and Fine Art
A former higher education administrator and academic, I began painting as a way to relax and center myself in 2021. I have always enjoyed drawing and creating and I encourage others to make time to pursue the passions they have hiding within. You’ll find that my works vary in size. As an artist, I take my brushes and paints when I travel. As such, some of my works are inspired by plants, views and nature where I’m visiting or from what I’m seeing. This means some of my works are captured in my smaller notebooks and some I photograph and bring home so I can paint them on a larger paper in my studio. I primarily sell original matted artwork and notecards.
